-
-
- A PUZZLE is a simple game for IBM PC and compatible computers.
- I wrote it in Turbo Pascal 6.0 and in the assembler.
- Program requests VGA graphics card and one disk drive and supports a
- mouse.
-
- After using the PKUNZIP utility, a directory should contain all following
- files:
-
- GO.BAT
- PUZZLE.EXE
- RECORD.BST
- README.DOC
- EGAVGA.BGI
- SANS.CHR
- TRIP.CHR
-
- To start the program enter "GO" at the DOS prompt.
-
- After the first introducing screen you should use the arrow keys or a
- mouse to change a number of spaces in a grid. Press left & right arrow
- keys or move a mouse in horizontal direction to change a horizontal
- number, press up & down or move a mouse in vertical direction to change a
- vertical number. The valid vertical and the horizontal values can vary
- from 3 to 13. A computer will always display the adequate grid. When you
- are ready press the ENTER key to go.
-
- Now the computer will draw a proper value of tiles in the grid. Your task
- is to arrange a puzzle from lowest to highest numbers, from the left
- upper corner to the right lower corner in the shortest time. This is done
- by moving the tile into the blank space on the board. You can use a mouse
- by moving the white arrow on the screen to a tile, which you want to
- shift and pressing the left button, or use the arrow keys. You will hear
- a sound when a block is moving to the right position. If you can't
- arrange a puzzle, you can always press Esc and play again.
-
- The PUZZLE saves the best result on each grid, after finishing the game
- you will see a list of the best players of all times.
